A Timeline of Super FZL

March 3, 2006

The FZL legacy was born. Or rather the Frozone Layer legacy was born. On this day, I began hosting a forum at the now deceased website, elitrix.net. I had about 12 members and 1000 posts. However, between spambot attacks and my desire to have more control over my website, I started FZL. And no, FZL does not stand for anything now. It used to mean Frozone Layer. But now it means nothing.

FZL Design 1

This day is celebrated as the true birthday of Super FZL. I left that dusty old Elitrix forum to pursue the free web hosting at the now deceased acespace.co.uk. My web adress was fzl.acespace.co.uk or therealfzl.co.nr. I only knew a little HTML so the design is terrible. Above is not a true screenshot of the design. It is a replica, but it gets the major details correct.

Mid-2007

As my skills in HTML improved, I was able to do more and more things in web design. For example, the content in my pages used to be floating in space, but with Design 2, I constrained it to a certain area with a table.

To the right is a shot of Design 2's movie page. I think I've improved since then.

FZL Design 3

December 26, 2007

At this time, three major things happened.

First, FZL was redesigned to Design 3. On the left is a screenshot of Design 3's home page.

Second, FZL's name was changed to Super FZL because the URL was now super-fzl.com.

Third, Super FZL was moved from Acespace to ULMB, my current web host.

June 6, 2008

Super FZL was redesigned again on this day. This is the first design I have ever been truly proud of. Not only did I change the aesthetics, but I changed the way the site functioned. When this redesign was put into effect, I began hosting all the content on my own server.

This design was truly a fine example of my work and I am very proud of it to this day.

July 7 - July 11, 2008

During this time, Super FZL entered a time I call the Legality Crisis. I found out that I was unintentionally stealing games and videos from other authors during this time. I went back and asked all the authors of the content on my site for permission to use their stuff. At the time, it was a total of 50 authors. Almost all of them said yes and I lost only a few games.

July 18, 2008 - 100 Games

August 6, 2008 - 100 Songs

December 5, 2008 - 100 Videos
